Tour of wineyard by
Two amazing tour full of taste and good wine, organized in collaboration with the "Terre d'Aione" winery in Tufo, in the province of Avellino. You ride our bike immersed in the heart of the green Irpinia region between long regular rows of Greco di Tufo vineyards and shady centuries-old olive trees. To enrich our tour, won’t miss visits to places of historic-cultural interest as the Bourbon prison and the Giordano's Palace in Montefusco, the Mulino-Giardino with tasting of Greco di Tufo wines, and the sulfur mine of Altavilla. Overnight stay near the Terre d'Aione estate, where we will be able to satisfy the palates with the genuine products offered by the land of Irpinia. These tours will be wonderful!

Points of interest:
Tufo: a small village of ancient farming traditions, settles at the foot of Mountain Gloria. The Tufesi produce and market the exquisite white wine D.O.C.G. "Greco di Tufo". The vinification and agricultural production have been joined by the opening of riding schools, attracting ever-increasing numbers of horse-riding enthusiasts. The municipal territory includes, in addition to the historic center, the three hamlets of Sao Paulo, Santa Lucia and Santo Stefano.
The bourbon prison of Montefusco: characterized by its particular geographic position, made it by the Longobards, it became an impregnable fortress. It was expanded and strengthened by the Normans, who in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, made it one of the most important fortified and administrative centers of their domains. A further transformation took place under Ferdinand II of Bourbon, who in 1851 used the former chancellery to be a political prison for anti-bourbon patriots. The Bourbon prison of Montefusco, whose northern part was found in the rock, was sadly famous for the hardness of the treatment reserved for the prisoners, so to be called the "Spielberg d'Irpinia".
Montefusco: The village of Irpinia is located in the middle of cultivated and verdant countryside, from which you can get a lot of cereal and fruit products since the nineteenth century of "very high quality", and high hills, from whose vines you get an excellent white wine "Greco of Tufo" D.O.C.G. Numerous are traditional crafts, much flourishing in the past, such as ceramic art, wrought ironworks, visible on ancient palaces and churches, lace-ups and crochet work. Among the typical local products, which can be enjoyed in the many summer festivals and festivals, in addition to the extraordinary already mentioned Greek wine of Tufo D.O.C.G, we notice the excellent chestnuts, the exquisite honey and the silan caciocavallo DOC.
